RETREAT2006

I will start this ball rolling! I am planning to buy myself a firm mattress to replace the exisitng form mattress. If we get enough people wanting a good firm mattress then we can organise ourselves to bulk buy and save money.

Likewise for some electrical appliances, like a kettle, thermo flasks.

Overall I hope to only bring in the bare minimum stuff into my room. It will be a tough road ahead with this, but my experience is the more stuff around the more distractions will arise for us. Keep it simple, very very simple. Almost zen like, bare minimum. HAHA ! the chalet rooms are small enough as there are !

I have set this up so that everyone planning to do the full 3 year retreat get come together and discuss, support and organise ourseleves as a sangha, instead of fragmented individuals. This will help the organising team by us helping each other without relying on them. God knows they are over burden as it is. Also we could help ourselves by bulk buying common items we think are necessary for our stay in LL, eg a firm bed mattress for me, a kettle...

Please lets begin by being together in this and participate. This will definitely create an auspicious start to the retreat by being of one mandala !
